PERSONAL DETAILS
Roland Idaczyk
Wellington, New Zealand
Artistically self-taught, I have been working with photography for over twenty years,
but also have a vivid interest in film-making, painting and sculpturing. My photographic
work covers a wide range of subject matter, but I am strongly preoccupied with nature
and environment. This often includes studies of landscapes ranging from apparently
untouched wilderness regions to those interfered with by human hands, such as urban
and industrial environments, but also what I would refer to as social landscapes.
Beyond photography, I also welcome opportunities to be exposed to different techniques
and materials and advance my skills in other art forms.
Participation in international projects is an important component in my work and I
hope that I can make a worthwhile contribution to bringing people of various cultural
backgrounds together.
